Us Now Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Us Now collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Us Now is built for exactly two people — privacy is the product.

What we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name (or the name you choose to share), an account identifier, and — depending on your settings — your email address. You can edit your display name in the app at any time.
Photos you share. The photos you choose to send to your paired partner are uploaded so they can be delivered to that one person. Photos are never public and are never shared with anyone other than your paired partner.
Pairing information. Invite codes and the identifier of the person you pair with, so the two of you stay connected.
Push notification tokens. Device tokens used to deliver your partner's moments and important service messages to your device.
Purchase state. Whether your account has an active Us Now Plus subscription. Payment is processed entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.

How we use it

To deliver your moments to your paired partner's app and Home Screen widget — this is the core of the service.
To notify you when your partner shares a moment.
To restore your pair and shared moments when you reinstall or switch devices.
To operate, debug, and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal information, show you ads, or use your photos for anything other than delivering them to your paired partner.

Where your data lives

Us Now uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Messaging) to store and deliver your data securely. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Superwall is used to present onboarding and subscription screens and receives anonymous usage events about those screens.

Retention and deletion

Moments you share are kept for your pair's private history so you can both look back at them in the app. They are only ever visible to the two of you.
If you disconnect a pair, the pair's shared moments, history, and widget photos are permanently deleted.
You may request full deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us (see below). We will complete the deletion within 30 days.

Children

Us Now is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
